| We want to welcome our newest Sister Ministry! Odette Habimana of Peace and Development Network in Kigali, Rwanda states: My vision was originally with children who are suffering the aftermath of the 1994 genocide by bringing to them the message of hope and love as a long term prevention of similar disaster in the future. In the process, I met two categories of mothers; on one side those who were left alone with hurt and grudge because they lost their husbands killed during the genocide. On the other hand those whose husband are in prison because they were involved in killings during the genocide. These women live together as enemies in the same villages and share some public commodities, but with great hatred. My dream is that quilt work could attract them together and create a kind of dialogue which could later on build new relationships, and possibly make some income together. I have this as a dream but did not really know what to do until I heard about your ministry. |
